OUR STORY
Our purpose at Hurricane Document Shredding, LLC is to offer a document pick-up shredding service that will give "Peace of Mind" to our clients by protecting their sensitive information from possible identity theft. In doing so, we will be complying with privacy legislation (HIPAA, FACTA, GLBA, FERPA) and protecting the environment through recycling for individual residents, businesses, and municipalities. Being local in Aurora, IL, Hurricane Document Shredding, LLC is personally invested in earning the long-term trust of our clients, from our community and surrounding counties, as we deal with their sensitive documents.

Hurricane Document Shredding, LLC was founded in 2020 in Aurora, IL by resident Carlos R. Rivera. After graduating from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Carlos knew that he wanted to come back to Aurora and start his own business endeavors. Carlos has worked in different fields such as education, customer service, shipping & receiving, administration, and sales. Along the way, he realized the importance for proper destruction of personal information. It was then, Carlos knew he could provide a service that would be meaningful for his community and establish his entrepreneurial aspirations.

Carlos was part of the Waubonsee Community College Baseball team that won the 2010 Illinois Skyway Conference Championship & advanced to the 2010 NJCAA College World Series in Tyler, Texas. This team finished the season as the 7th ranked school in the nation.
Carlos was the 2007 48th round draft pick of the Chicago Cubs out of East Aurora High School.
